For the record, I know of no "requisites" for offering a site for the Gathering. There are things that a site might offer to convince the attendees to select that location for a Gathering. Location is high on the list. Over the last 19 years the Gathering sites have all had different, more or less, things to offer in the way of conveniences such as hangars, hotels, restaurants, etc. It just so happens that Mt.Vernon comes together as a package that's hard to beat. I'm guessing that there are other locations that have a great deal to offer also and would make a great site for the Gathering. Putting these locations together with a host is the hard part. Anyone thinking of hosting the KR Gathering at their airport should look at their location with an unbiased eye and ask "what has my location got to offer that would make anyone want to attend a Gathering here."? If the "pro's" outnumber the "con's", you may be hosting the next Gathering. On another note, too many people on the net take a rebuttal to their idea or opinion as a personal attack. If you can't defend your opinion or idea without personal attacks, I'd suggest you hit the "delete" key instead of "send". Have a nice day............. Larry Flesner
