Mine do not have quite the amount of travel specified.  That is not because
of the bellcrank geometry, but because of the cut on the backside of the
aileron.  At first, I was concerned about it, but my plane fly's just fine.
As far as making the ailerons a little quicker, I don't think you will ever
have a problem with that.  Going through the initial flight on two different
KR's, I only found the pitch to be a bit of an issue.  I flew my first KR
with NO time in a KR or any other plane that was anything like a KR.  It was
about 15 years between KRs, and before flying the second one, some friends
gave me some stick time in their RV, which is very much like a KR.  I had
absolutely no problem with the first flight on the second KR, other than
first flight nerves.

I have not flown many different planes, but I agree with anyone that says
this is the best flying and easiest to fly plane that there is.  I love it.

Be advised, that will make your
ailerons a bit quicker acting, i.e., less stick travel, but mine seem
to be well balanced with the pitch movement.
