Henry,
Here is what I am doing with ducted cooling. I am using the standard VW
cooling shrouds ($23/set at a VW performance shop) with a slight
modification to connect to my homebuilt fiberglass ducts. The standard VW
cooling shrouds will fit any displacement Beetle engine manufactured from
1939 to 2009. If you get the shrouds, get some metric screws. The VW heads
have metric tapped lands to fasten the shrouds on, no mods, no muss, no
fuss. All you have to do then is get air blasting into the top of the
shrouds. Be sure to put the "Cool Tins" on the bottom of the cylinders.
Get Cool Tins from Great Plains Aircraft Supply or the VW performance shop.
Is this any help?

Can anybody give me advise on how to baffle a 2180 VW reverse engine?
