I don't of ANYbody that's not installed aileron balance weights on their KR. I guess somebody's welcome to try it, but the plans say to do it, and probably for good reason. Elevator is optional, perhaps, but not aileron. Not a tough decision after all, unless you want to push the envelope where it's never been pushed before...
