Puzzling over the disharmony my response to Derek created, I think it mainly was the unfortunate choice of a posting title. Flying Milkstools referred to the Tri-Pacer I used as an example in the posting. Having my tri-gear KR called a Flying Milkstool would annoy me too, but that's not what I meant. Bob Passmore's tri-gear, re-built by Sparky, is a couple doors down from me and I see it almost every day and I've never thought of it as anything but a nice looking plane. Same with Jeff's. Beautiful plane.
Besides the poor title, I overstated things and used nonsensical logic, both in an effort to strike a lighter note on the age-old controversy. I failed, at least with a couple of you . . . and didn't see why until quite a bit of thinking about it. So I'm putting myself on posting restriction for a while. I should have caught it and edited myself and, that I didn't, means I have too much free time just now. I need to get my strobes working and find out why my fuel flow sensor quit and maybe put some opera windows on it.
