The additional benefit of the "purchased" fittings is they probably have double the threaded area for the fittings to screw in to over a piece of 3/8" aluminum. You're probably better with a hacksaw and tapper than I am. It would probably take me the same amount of time to build them as waiting to receive them from wick's. :-) Larry Flesner
