Contact between the prop and the hub is absolutely necessary. The friction 
between the two is a critical portion of the non-slippage of the prop. Bolts 
and lugs are not the only resistance necessary. This is whe the back of a wood 
prop can get "charred" with loose prop bolts...it's slipping.
