It is not a shameful thing to buy someone else's project and complete it. I myself bought one that was to the point of ready for taxi runs. It matters not to the inspector whether you built it completely or not, only whether or not it will pass his inspection. You do not have to let on like you were the original starter of the project, there is no need or benefit to this. Once you get your hands on the project and it belongs to you, continue with the build. If asked, just tell the truth, you picked it up at 45%,50% or whatever stage it's in. The finished product is what you're going to show anyways, and that's what the inspector will be looking at. Just pay attention to detail, pick our brains here on the net as needed, and get that bird ready to fly. My 200 yen's worth

My question is if I purchace this project how should I go about getting it certified? Should I let on as though I have built the entire thing, having it inspected as I go form this point on or what? As I understand it, it is past the boat stage with the tail feathers built but not attached as well as one wing finished and the other ready to be covered. I dont know if there is very much documentation on what has been done but I will find all that out when I go look at the project. What do you guys think the best aproach would be for this type of project?
