Happy New Year everyone. So far it has started off good for me. Today after having my engine off the plane for about a month and installing a new rear case housing, new oil pump and new distributor, N886MJ came back to life. She is running very smooth at 800 rpm idle and accelerates perfectly when throttle is applied. She feels great and no oil leaks as of yet. I did not run her very long as I had the cowling off and most was done at idle. We have blue skies here with 38°F for a temp. The sad part is we have 25mph winds coming 45° across the runway. I decided to hold off flying till I have more favorable winds and do a little more static run ups with the cowl on. I am ecstatic to have a live plane again.
