I ran through rain about 10 yrs ago in my KR headed to Osh Kosh. About 5 min. after that I felt a vibration about 2 minutes later my prop left the plane with the front part of the crank. The KR became a nice glider to a pasture in Osceola Mo. The prop did not have a leading edge protector. When I was back up with a new motor I put a Sturba prop on (he has the resin leading edge) I had run through ran with his prop an all I had to do is clean off some vanish and re coat.
