Greetings, My name is Jeff Lange and am a pilot of a VW powered aircraft. Over the years I have desired to fly my aircraft in cross country races, but they are few and far between, and most of them are too long for a small aircraft's fuel supply. I am currently trying to gauge the interest in forming a class specifically designed for smaller aircraft.
My desire is to form a semi-competitive racing structure that involves cross country racing in VW and Corvair power aircraft. These races will be held around various regional airshows across the country. We are in the very beginning stages of planning and many of the questions are yet to be answered (and asked). I welcome all intelligent discussion and suggestions. While we will call this racing, beating the next guy is not the primary goal. The goals are simple.
