Today was a beautiful day here in SC. High 70 and winds below 5 with forever visibility. So I decided to venture off, for the first time, sort of break the bonds of the home airport. I took off for the 35 mile trip to Orangeburg to visit Matt and do some landings at a different airport. They have a very nice airport with crossing runways, and I used runway 5 to make a couple of the best and worst landings that I have ever made. So now I have a total of 6.8 hours and 12 landings.
The plane had no issues and the flight went exactly as planned. Some pics of the return trip are at: http://krbuilder.org/BlackBirdFlights/index.html They are the first 8 thumbs on the page. I hope to be taking some video soon, but gotta build a mount for the camera, in the cockpit, without messing anything up, and right now, I am in the flying mode. The first phase of the testing, bug discovery and resolution, has finally come to an end. Now I will pull the test plan back out and start on the next phase.
