The spring on my Grumman is a large lightly loaded coil spring that goes around the throttle shaft just behind the throttle arm. If wanted I could take a photo of it. I was sure glad the spring was there when the nut fell off of the throttle connector. Those little two seat Grumman's have a fairly hot glide limiting my landing options.
