Wow, Thanks for the great opinions, it really means alot. For starters I am not really sure why I want to. I am one of those people that just like to do things different. I really like the kr2 "as is" , theres really nothing wrong with the old airfoil either, but the new one could be better if you like the result it gives you. I guess my primary reason would be to design a plane with a wide cockpit, and curves like a lancair. A big reason I chose the kr2 is because I fell in love with the looks, so that doesnt make much sense either. One thing for sure, to make the plane lighter and stronger is usually a good idea. The best part of all of this is the great conversation with a bunch of elderly pilots/engineers. Again, I may not do this. Yes I must do it for myself only, but there are some changes that might really make alot of sense to alot of you pilots with the experience you have with your own plane. This is the time to chime in if anyone has anything they would do different. I have never met mark langford, but he sure has made alot of changes. It sounds like he is happy with his results. I fly a j-3 Cub, a far cry from a kr2. As you could imagine, I really need your input. Thanks again, all you guys with all this great experience is in my opinion the people that matter most.
