I am no aeronautical engineer but I would tend to think the extra few pounds of wing skin weight would not be a big problem as you get extra wing area and a higher aspect ratio from the slightly greater span, even Rand Robinson say the Diehl wing skin gives better climb, but, like I said, Im no aeronautical engineer. No bucket loads of foam dust , you can use the stock spar lengths, I save a lot on the cost of foam which is expensive for me, time saving in finishing, and so on and son. Chris Johnston
