Yep, I have done it many times and really see no difference in engine
performance and I never reset my advance. Ninety percent of my flight
hours have been with gas hauled in to the airport in 5 gallon cans from
BP/Amoco (premium 93 octane of course with 10% ethanol). About seven
percent has been on Mogas bought at the airport and about three percent
has been 100LL. Personally, I would not hesitate to do it.
