Guys When Franklin Aircooled Engine Company when under in the early 1960's, a respected European Airplane Company called PZL of Poland bought all their assets. This included all the tooling to manufacture their FAA approved airplane engines.
Of course what with the cold war and the political/economic climate of the time, The PZL/Franklin engines were not imported into the US for decades. These engines were mostly forgotten.
