I run my 0-200 at 2500 to 2600 cruise and burn 5.7 gal per hour. Beyond that, everyone's circumstances are too different to give you much guidance. I have my own hangar but I'm storing the KR closer to home right now for free at the airport where I work and get the 100LL free from the barrel that we pour our daily fuel samples from the trucks and fuel farm in to. Insurance costs vary widely , if you can get it. Once built and flying the engine will / can be the most costly item on the aircraft. If nothing breaks you fly cheap. If my 0-200 needs an overhaul I could be out $5000. Develop your own cost estimates by going to the local airport and get fuel prices, hangar cost, etc. Will you be able to burn auto fuel or have to buy 100LL. Talk to the local EAA members and pick their brains for the info you're looking for. You may have local assets like I do right now that will lower your flying cost or you may have a situation where it will cost you and arm and a leg. The net is a good starting place but most of your flying cost are local and you will need to do that investigating on your own. Larry Flesner
