Just as a little primer, check this out. Flight Lead in this video is non other than James Clark (thought I'd hang with Dan's first flight report as James was his chase plane). You will notice everything is briefed from engine start, to staggered taxi to 2 x 2 takeoff with a fingertip strong right initial join, followed by diamond followed by right eshelon (sp) to strong right fingertip rejoin. #2 will be the ship that joins on the inside of the first turn with 3 on lead right in this formation as lead made a left turn on climbout thereby telling 2 he will join on the inside of the turn. 4 transitions form strong right to trail for the diamond. Everything, and I mean everything, is briefed but every move is standard across the board. You can fly with a group from the east coast on Friday and the west coast the next week and everything is still the same.
Let this video download a couple minutes. I have high speed so I don't know what happens with dialup. I did a google RV airplane formation video search then clicked video. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=4289501240151922749&q=rv+airplane Dana Overall 1999 & 2000 National KR Gathering host Richmond, KY i39 RV-7 slider, Imron black, "Black Magic" O 360 A1A, C/S C2YK-1BF/F7666A4 http://rvflying.tripod.com/id30.html do not archive _________________________________________________________________ Windows Live Spaces is here!
