There is quite a discussion going on at two other lists about the TBM/RV ground fatality which occurred at Oshkosh. Several members of these lists work traffic flow at OSH and are way familiar with what happened. All kinds of ideas are being posted about taildragger safety, especially small taildraggers................KR.
The best two I heard, that relate to the KRNet were the Lancair pilot who was directed onto the taxiway in front of the TBM, and behind the RV, declined and pulled in behind the TBM. Smart thinking. The next one for KR pilots to consider is upon stopping, make it a point to turn slightly left and do a quick glance over your left shoulder.........to make sure some rookie 17% (thought I was going to say it didn't you?) driver doesn't come chopping down on you. Food for KR thought.
