Hay Randy,the one thing you should reserch is aircraft maintence practices. The FAA has a book on this but i can't renember what its called.As an A&P this is the biggest problen i see when looking at homebuilts. Too many people use Lowes aircraft supply for hardware which is ok for non structural uses.Don't cut coners on this or wood ect. Look at factory airplanes and some of the good homebuilts. Good luck.
