Yea, I guess you figured that I was kidding. I was just trying to point out that while there may the "conventional gear" clique, there is also the Vair clique out there. I am sorry that you are not coming out my way on your trip, but with luck, I will see you at the Gathering.
See N64KR at http://KRBuilder.org - Then click on the pics See you in Mt. Vernon - 2006 - KR Gathering There is a time for building and a time for FLYING and the time for building is OVER. Daniel R. Once your Corvair is completed and you have all your components, then do the change over. But come on man...you gotta fly that thing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) I flew the KR for a couple hours today. I have kinda neglected it a bit since I got the Long-EZ flying. A friend from the USMC brought his kids up for a ride. The completely enjoyed it and want to do it again. I sure will miss this plane. Speaking of missing the KR, we have a new KR family member. N902G was purchased from the current owner by Paul Russell out of Fort Scott, Kansas. I will be delivering the KR and will meet Lee Van Dyke in Phoenix on the 20th on my trip. We will be flying to together up into Kansas before he continues on to OSH and I make the final leg to Pittsburg, KS to 02G's new home. I will still see everyone at the Gathering but will be in the EZ this time. I'll be competing for the ugliest plane award. The EZ is still pretty rough from going through the flood but at least she is flyable. Richard Shirley and I will make the trek together again this year. See ya in a couple months.
