Oh, and in the interest of being helpful, my avionics buddy informed me that foaming and glassing my transponder antenna was not one of my brightest ideas, as it would change the frequency of the antenna and possibly stress the transponder. This was pointed out as we tried to figure out why my transponder doesn't work. We think it's the output transistor, and will troubleshoot later this week, hopefully. My big push is over at work, so I'm going to try my best to take afternoons off for about the next two months. First on the agenda is a spinner, and then intercom, then landing, nav, and strobe lights, etc. Paint might be in 2008...
