The truth behind this story is that the pilot killed was a member of the
Milwaukee EAA Chapter 18 which I too am a member of. The deceased pilot is
Chris Goode and he was flying an RV-6A. They were in a four plane missing
man formation when Chris' plane clipped the lead planes (an RV-8) wing tip.
Chris went into a dive and was unable to recover while the RV-8 made a safe
landing. Truly another tragedy in aviation. It never ceases to amaze me how
close nit the aviation community is and how many people we come to know. God
