Joe,

Do you really need an additive like "Slick 50" on a new build engine?

I've never heard anything good come from many of the additives
other than the Marvel Mystery Oil which I swear by. Of the two
engines I have experience with, the Tripacer for 500+ hours and
the 0-200 in the KR, both have run well and even improved some.

The Lycombing in the Tripacer was giving the same or better compression
checks at 2240 hours as it did when I bought it 500 hours prior.
The 0-200 in the KR had readings in the 80/66 range with a couple
around 80/72 at first flight some 220 hours ago. On the annual in
February, my lowest cylinder (cold) was 80/74 and two read 80/78.
I use 4 oz with each 10 gallon of fuel in the tank and 1 quart in the crankcase
on oil change with 5 quarts of the Phillips 20X50XC oil.

As always..............................
