It certainly is not necessary to epoxy in the bolts and you may regret it
ten years from now if you buggered up an attach fitting while putting the
plane on a trailer or something.

As far as a lubricant, I don't think you need one, but if you did maybe a
wax?  Wood furniture polish maybe?

to crush if you over do it, i'm not aware of a torque. I put a flox mix on
the bolts before sliding them in to take up any clearance that may have
existed---------yes they are in for the long haul.
