Doug:

Not a Chance!!!!!!!! Had the plans for 30 years and had the opportunity to go
fwd. witha Lt. Sport and came to the conclusion that my best shot at a craft
with good speed & range potential with a 4 cycle engine that was easy to
maintain filled the bill. The biggest obstacle to overcome was get its "Clean
Stall Speed" down to the magic 51 mph(44 kts). That looked like it was
achievable with the long wings. It should be pointed out that the original
plans book listed that stall to be 42 mph and that plane did not have flaps,
those were added to the plans around the '80 time frame.

I want a sport plane with good speed & range at less than a 30k price tag that
can be kept at home! What else qualifies?
