Actually the tower at KUES is pretty cool. Today as I landed there was an
Extra 300 holding short watching me land. When I cleared the active, tower
gave him the ok to go and when he lifted off he almost went vertical. I
would love to be able to climb like that. About ten minutes later as I was
rolling my KR into the hanger, I heard the 300 screaming down towards the
runway and he did a super high speed run about five feet off the deck and at
half way point right in front of the tower he went vertical to at least 1000
agl and then rolled it over on it's back and departed the pattern that way.
Way to cool. So, if you talk real nice to the tower Bill, they just might
let you perform for them!!!!!
