Listees: Does anyone have the actual specs on the FG resins used in the KR that will not attack the foams that they use. Also the Specs on the foam used in the kits. I am not talking about generic names and densities but ASTM numbers if any one has them. That will go along way for me to find local sources.
I am in the position of making a 3-/2 gal header tank 8" wide x 10" long x 8" deep instead of the premolde cowl tank shell. Will have a mech fastened & gasketed cover with all the vents, tank interconnections & filler in the lid and a low point feed to the engine, tank Drain & sight glass in the bottom. I plan on forming the tank up with florist foam blocks and covering them with Poly-ethylene bags or better yet Poly-Vinyldene film( Stretch & Seal wrap)and then lay up the tank on the form. When it is cured take the foam out and test shell for leaks. Opinions? Suggestions? Don
