I also have done the David Clark and ANR setup, and it is great, wouldn't fly without it.
I found that by putting more noise damping foam in the headset "cup" behind the ANR bits I got even better noise dampening. I find the gel seals better than the cloth/foam ones but the gel seals are not as comfortable, for me :-) I too recommend the AMP cable and the auto shut off (I don't have the auto shut off and keep forgetting to turn it off :-) regards Barry Kruyssen Cairns, Australia k...@bigpond.com http://www.users.bigpond.com/kr2/kr2.htm +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Check out : http://www.headsetsinc.com/ for the kit info. Yes, you order the kit and do your own conversion. It took me an hour or two. I'm slow remember. It took me 13 years to build the KR. :-) I'd suggest that for the extra $20 you get the AMP cable and auto shutoff. The AMP cable (I think that's what they call it) has all wires in one cable so you don't have to drill an extra hole in your headset. I Think the total cost for what I ordered was right at $200.
