If a pilot can't transition from a crab to side slip on landing they shouldn't be flying. I think that in most cases it's a matter of flying tricycle gear that will correct your mistakes and pilots just forget how to do it properly. Any of you guys or gals flying the "heavies" jump in here. I'm betting you use the crab approach to near touchdown. Larry Flesner
