Colin and Netters,
Due to a partner's piloting problem, My AA-1 suffered a prop strike. He bounced
his landing,
bent the tips abck at 45 degrees and then went around. Although the plane flew
the pattern, I had no trouble with the teardown and inspection. Much cheaper
than the alternative. NO
ONE associated with the plane, the airport, EAA or my mechanics ever suggested
we do anything other than tear it down. It cost a bundle, and kept me grounded
for 3 months, but I fly safe first or not at all. My attitude about a non
certified aircraft built by myself will be far more conservative.....
