Interesting. I have have '97 Honda Accord inline 4 and
I did the same test for highway miles for regular,
premium and gashol from the very same pump. My gas
mileage did not change with type of fuel. I was
consistently getting 26-27 mpg.

I guess, I don't have an answer for you on yout VW,
but thought I would chime in with my different results
than yours.
