You ELSA people should take a look at the Sonex. The prices will surprise you. http://sonex-ltd.com/ For the short time that it has been on the market, there are a lot of them completed. The KR is tough enough if you build it to plans. I have a friend who is building a CH601 ELSA and I would not touch it. It will cost him as much as his RV6 when he is finished and he won't have anything close to what his RV is, except that it will qualify for Sport Plane.

For example the Zodiac XL airframe kit alone is about $16K , nearly 3 times the cost of a KR kit, I think. With a nicely built-up Corvair it'll probably be in the neighborhood of $20K. I have a friend who just recently completed a CH601 XL with Rotax 912S. He has $36K+ in it right now.
