I'm sure the weight of the MAC trim servo can be found somewhere (I wrote it down at home), but it's practically negligible. AS&S catalog says 4.0 ounces, but I don't think it's even that much (I'll update this tonight if I find out differently). I'll bet it's a wash, weight wise, but I highly recommend it, whatever it weighs. You'd want the .7" travel version. I have a small trim tab (maybe a quarter the size of the plans call for), and I only use about a third of the trim travel.
