Karl What other KR web sites are there? Your questions regarding wing dimensions have much to do with the type of wing (airfoil) builders have opted for...and or changes to the RAF 48 called for on the plans. (At least on my old plans). I could increase the lift on my plane by increasing wing lenght at the sacrifice of top speed because of the added parasitic drag. I can then reduce the drag by a change in airfoil.......... and on and on it goes....the CG changes, the chord changes. The plans called for RAF 48 is a safe and stable platform giving acceptable stall speed and top end and a fairley large CG range.
