Thanks Larry. I have been playing with the KR2 for 25 years and recently 
decided to um... finish. 
I am going to do some "mock up sections" and test the strength against the 
"normal" foam. What kind of foam are you using?

The minicell foam is semi rigid, flexible, can't be broken and springs back
when compressed. It has 2/3's of the compression strength of the same 2#

I'm afraid you're on your own here as far as I'm concerned.  In my
sixteen year exposure to KR's, I've never heard of a "semi-rigid"
foam being used.  I'm certianly no expert so don't let my answer
halt your research.
