Your static is going to your instrument panel anyway, so, why not just run it under the longeron? you can run static on one side and wires on the other. you can also build a little tunnel just under each longeron, to be able to accommodate what ever you want.
However, I think that re-inforcement is a good thing, but probably not necessary, if the holes are not too large and they are cleanly cut. See you in Mt.
