I stuck that on about two minutes before he taxiied away in it.  Most 
everybody else's turtle deck is glassed in place.  Mine is held on with 
piano hinges, which I know are strong, but the connection to the deck itself 
isn't as strong.  When you start thinking about somebody ELSE's butt getting 
in a jam, you want all the insurance you can get.  I was also concerned 
about the strength of the canopy latches, and will upgrade them soon, so I 
handed him a QuickClamp and said "what would you think about clamping one 
side of the canopy down with this".  He said "give it here!".  Might as well 
stack the odds in our favor, with so many opportunities for things to go 
wrong...

Thanks for all the kind words, folks.  It's still got a lot of rough edges 
and it's nowhere near finished, but this is proof that I'm gettin' there...
