Yes, on my first KR I used clear spruce cut locally from the nearest mill here in Vermont. On another KR I used construction grade spruce from the local lumbar yard, selecting the clearest 2 by stock in the piles and cutting out the straightest and knot free parts. On my Horizon 2 (a 75% scale L-19) I used what was recomended by the designer....PINE,...but clear clean pieces. On my third KR I again used local spruce and fir as well as lumber yard blue styrofoam, West system epoxy and marine grade plywoods. On one of my current projects I am using redwood and local spruce. In ALL cases it included the spars as well!! ----- Original Message ----- From: "William Jeffries" <missionairf...@yahoo.com> To: "krnet" <kr...@mylist.net> Sent: Thursday, March 10, 2005 7:43 PM Subject: KR> Wood
