One very important consideration that you may not be thinking of right now
since you are in the boat stage is that if you bring up the bottom of the
fusalage you won't be able to have your seat go as far down which will
reduce your head room. Even if you are 4' tall it is still nice to have the
seat as low as possible so you can get some more padding on it and so you
can sell it to someone taller later.

Subject: KR> fuselage shape

Hello Knetters,

In shaping my fuselage, I wanted the bottom longeron to meet the aft spar,
instead of having it 1.3 inch above the bottom longeron. This made it
impossible to have a straight bottom longeron back to the tail post. It is
curved upwards all the way back. It looks very cool to me. Others may not
like the look, I'm sure.

My question is this for any of you aerodynamic types: Will that curve have
any adverse effects on the flight charactoristics? I have seen other planes
that have that shape.

I have a fix that can bring it back to standard with very little effort, but
I wondered what you guys thought.

Ron Smith,
Kr2s boat stage
