That Famous person had no fuel in any tank. People run tanks dry all the time. (sometimes all tanks) In my Bellanca I run 1 hr left, 1 hr right 1 hr left(tank is dry ) Looking for airport when I switch to right tank. I run about 225 a yr and it works well for me. My KR had a 12 gal. header tank and 2 4 gal. wing tanks. It doesn't matter what plane I fly I usually what out in 3 hrs.
