LIke you, I don't trust the WAF's so I'm reinforcing them with carbon fiber cloth. Actually, I'm doing the whole spar with a layer of it and a double wrap (12 inches deep) on the spar ends where the WAF's are located. I think this will put my mind at ease just a little.
