I have some 4130 seat belt brackets for my Midget Mustang that I need to have heat treated and nickle plated soon. Since I will wind up paying the minimum lot charge I am going to finish my lower gear brackets for the 2S and have them done at the same time. Anyone else with any 4130 parts want to share the cost?
I am going with the Rockwell hardness that Dan Diehl uses on his lower gear brackets. Can't remember what that is right at the moment. Keep in mind that parts are heat treated to a correct hardness for their given application so if you don't know that the hardness I am using is correct for your parts then you probably do not need to be messing with having them heat treated.
