I have had a similiar experience with the groups by trying to e-mail them, call them, etc....
But I had great success when I actually attended their meetings. They are just like most of us, and have full time jobs. I think they get lots of phone calls etc... but if you are really interested, then attend some of their meetings, and I think you will find a difference, (and they know you are serious!)
