I've been using Lacquer thinner for years maybe since I was 12 years old, I
am now 64.  Thinner, then soap and water follow-up. I have never had a epoxy
reaction, but fiberglass? Yes, from insulation and epoxy/fiberglass work.
Those micro pieces of glass will get into you pores  if you don't wash with
soap and water.  I have stayed away from gasoline [a poor solvent], MEK, or
Acetone.  I sill use latex gloves though, because epoxy is sticky and messy
stuff.
