I'm finishing up the 600 grit wet sand on my primer. Since I haven't painted vehicles before, I need guidance from the experts.
I put acrylic lacquer primer over the Smooth Prime, which is water soluble. I have sanded through the primer in a couple of places. Should I shoot another layer of primer, or will this be okay? When painting the wings, do I paint them with the ailerons in place? If I'm to paint the ailerons and wings separately, how do I keep the paint out of the piano hinge? I don't want to spend the rest of my life cleaning them. Building airplanes is a learning experience. I think I've earned a Master's degree in the school of hard knocks. Thanks for your help.
