Doesn't work! The FAA doesn't count the amount of time consumed. It does 
count the number of distinct components built. You can get a plane with all 
vacuum produced parts that lock together ready to paint in hours and pass 
the 51%. But get one that is finished, but rough, and you will spend years 
getting one that is acceptable, and still not get your mechanics cert.
