Ken Brock at http://www.kenbrockmfg.com/plates.htm makes some 1/4" spacers for $30. You could also buy a small piece of aluminum and cut it out to shape on a bandsaw and use your crush plate as a template to build your own, but it would be heavy. Or I suppose you could make your own wooden one out of aircraft grade plywood or hardwood, but I'd worry about hardwood splitting, since it wouldn't be laminated to anything (probably why is was glued to the other one). Maybe somebody else has a better idea, but there's always the machine shop. Ken Brock Mfg. might make you one special too. Don't know about the carb heat box, but I know the folks that make most of them are at http://www.aviacompworldwide.com/carbheatboxes.html , and they have a 2.5" inlet version available. I would think that would be close enough. Maybe I should just let somebody that KNOWs answer this, but just in case you don't get another reply, these would be leads in the right direction...
