My first engine was an 1835.  About 135mph.  I upgraded it to a 1915 and
didn't see much improvement in speed.

       I agree with you, Dan. I bought a VW 1835. It wasn't what was
reccommended for the KR2S, but it will work and give me many hours of
flying---then I
can up-date at a later date. By the way, I got the engine for a very good
price. Right now I'm involved in building a canopy( quite a job) and I don't
